Has the past truly flowed away?
I often wonder, once time passes, does it truly cease to exist?
Or does it merely change faces, like day and night, alternating and layering upon one another?
Pai Li once wrote, “The people of today do not see the moon of ancient times, yet the moon of today once shone upon the ancients.” Within the interwoven universe, the time each person experiences at any given moment seems no more than a single point. Just as all things are not merely the visible forms perceived by the eye.
