Therapeutic Approach
Katherine takes an integrative, experiential approach, using methods like CBT, DBT, somatic techniques, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). She helps clients manage stress, regulate emotions, and turn challenging experiences into insight and growth.
With over a decade of experience and having lived in Canada and the U.S., she connects naturally with people from diverse backgrounds. Katherine provides a safe, compassionate space where clients can feel understood and begin the gentle work of healing.
Her focus is on helping clients rediscover clarity, reconnect with what truly matters, and cultivate a deeper sense of aliveness. By understanding emotions and hidden patterns, she helps clients release what feels stuck and develop practical tools to live with more freedom, connection, and resilience.
What This Counselor Wants You to Know:
On the outside, you may look like you’re holding it all together. But on the inside, it can feel exhausting—like you’re running on empty while trying to keep up with work, relationships, and expectations. Maybe you feel anxious, disconnected, or stuck in the same patterns over and over. Maybe you’ve even started to wonder if this is just how life has to feel. When life asks more than we know how to give, our bodies carry the weight: the tightness in your chest, the restless nights, the heaviness you can’t quite name. These signals aren’t failures—they’re your body’s way of asking for something deeper, more sustainable, more true. Therapy with me is about slowing down enough to listen to what your mind and body are trying to say. I’ll help you make sense of what’s happening inside you and reconnect with the resources you already have. From that place, change doesn’t have to be forced—it begins to unfold naturally. In a space of safety and curiosity, you can feel yourself again—not the version shaped by pressure or fear, but the one rooted in your truth. From there, healing opens up a new way of living that feels whole and grounded.
A Note to Parents:
With more than 17 years of experience working with children and teens—spanning U.S. public schools, an international school in Asia, and over a decade here at the Center—I’ve come to understand the unique challenges young people face—from anxiety and perfectionism to identity concerns or that sense of emotional disconnection that can feel so isolating. I have a natural way of connecting with children and teens, even when they’re withdrawn, anxious, or hard to reach. Over the years, I’ve supported many families through difficult seasons, helping parents see what lies beneath the surface while creating a space where young people feel genuinely understood. Together, we can uncover what your child needs most and offer both insight and practical tools that make a meaningful difference at home. My approach goes beyond symptom relief—it nurtures long-term emotional resilience so your child can grow into someone who feels secure, connected, and confident in navigating life—wherever the road ahead may take them.
