Dear Community,

As our community continues to grow and evolve, we have been reflecting on how the Center can best serve current and future needs in ways that are both meaningful and sustainable. Over time, we have seen shifts in how people live, connect, and access support across Taipei. This has led us to think carefully about how our programs can continue to remain relevant, welcoming, and impactful for the international community we serve.

With this in mind, and following a recent decision by the Center’s Board, our 2F program space will close at the end of May.

From June onward, regular classes in the 2F space will pause while we review, re-strategize, and redesign our community programs. We recognize that this change may especially affect participants in ongoing classes. As part of our review process, we will take the needs of our community into account as we consider the future direction and format of our community programs.

While this marks the end of one chapter, it also creates space for a new one—one in which we can develop programs in more flexible, accessible, and sustainable ways, better aligned with how our community lives and engages today.

Looking ahead, our programs and events will continue through flexible, rented venues across Taipei. We believe this approach will allow us to reach the community in more effective ways, while also opening the door to new possibilities for programming that reflect evolving interests and needs.

As part of this next chapter, we will continue to host our four iconic community events, which remain an important part of the Center’s identity and connection with the community:
  • Monthly Coffee Morning
  • Poetry Night
  • Christmas Bazaar
  • Clothing Swap
At the same time, our counseling and wellbeing services will continue as usual. With both in-person and online counseling options, we are able to support individuals, couples, families, teenagers, and children across locations, helping to reduce barriers to access and extend support beyond geographic boundaries.

Our general office line will remain active and will connect directly to our 6F office, so the community can continue to reach us as usual.

We understand that for many in our community, the 2F space has been associated with meaningful memories, relationships, and experiences over the years. We deeply appreciate the role it has played in the life of the Center. At the same time, we are hopeful about what lies ahead. This transition gives us an opportunity to reimagine how we gather, learn, and support one another in ways that are responsive to the present and ready for the future.

Thank you for being part of our community and for walking with us through change and growth. We are grateful for your continued support, and we look forward to building this new chapter together.
Warm Regards,
Cammi Chih
